Leaders at the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum had developed an ambitious plan to host a new international conference on sustainable resource development. They needed to increase awareness and find sponsors, and they came to AMP to take advantage of our deep experience in finding and securing partnerships.

We undertook extensive market research and worked closely with the institute's in-house team to profile and identify ideal sponsors and exhibitors. We then targeted these prospects directly, using both marketing automation and direct sales. The key to our success was a well-planned, strategic approach: We started by building awareness, introduced the partnership opportunities, and then aligned these options with the strategic objectives of the organizations we spoke with.

The Results

AMP confirmed dozens of partnerships that served to raise awareness of the event. We also succeeded in raising significant exhibit and sponsorship revenue, contributing to the incredible success of the Resources for Future Generations conference.
