The First Nations Confederacy of Cultural Education Centres is a not-for-profit organization that has been providing program support and delivery to cultural centre recipients for over 45 years. The organization wanted to celebrate and share the history, language and culture of Indigenous people on Turtle Island.

A Collaborative Approach

In the spirit of reconciliation, the AMP team worked in close collaboration with the FNCCEC, developing a comprehensive strategy to brand and market the event. We used partnership marketing to establish relationships with media outlets that raised awareness through websites, social media, and other channels. Our team also supported FNCCEC in developing an accessible program, preparing the site, and managing high-profile attendees.

A Resounding Success

The five-day First Nations Cultural Expo was a resounding success, with strong attendance from student groups and the public alike. Visitors enjoyed learning about all aspects of Indigenous language, arts, and culture, including an opportunity to watch an elder use traditional skills to build a canoe. Attendees included The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage.
